§00An industry working group

Soon, the first thing a buyer learns about your brand will come from an AI - not from you.

The Insurance Discoverability Council brings insurers and agents together to address how our brands, products and policies are represented by AI - because acting together gives us a measure of control that acting independently never will.

§01The shift

AI is becoming the front door to your business.

A three-stage process - observed across markets where AI assistants now mediate first contact.
01Query

Buyers and advisers are asking AI first.

Increasingly, the way people compare insurers, weigh up cover and understand a policy is by asking an AI assistant. Whatever it says becomes the first impression - and often the only one.

02Assembly

Today, that answer is assembled without you.

It is stitched together from whatever sits across the open web: outdated pages, third-party summaries and guesswork. You do not control it, and you may not even see it.

03Standard

Other industries are already acting.

Leading brands in other sectors have begun adopting shared standards that let them define how AI represents them. Insurance has not. The longer we wait, the more the narrative is set for us.

§02The Council

A collective effort, with clear boundaries.

File 02.A · What this is↳ Affirmative
File 02.B · What this is not↳ Boundary
  • 01
    A collective, not a company.

Insurers and agents coming together as peers. Nobody is selling anything.

  • 02
    A working group.

Regular sessions, outside expertise and practical steps toward shared approaches.

  • 03
    Convened in the open.

Brought together by Grahame Cohen, who has published an open protocol, ATAH, as one possible approach - with others still to consider.

  • 01
    Not a data-sharing arrangement.

The group is run in a compliant way: no policyholder data and no competitive metrics about our companies. We share thinking, not information.

  • 02
    Not a product pitch.

Taking part commits you to nothing commercial.

  • 03
Not tied to any one solution.

No single protocol and no single vendor, ATAH included. The group decides what good looks like.

§03Who it is for

Leaders who would rather shape the standard than inherit one.

Senior people at insurers, agents and brokers - chief executives, and leaders across distribution, marketing and technology - who recognise this is coming and want a hand in how it lands.

  • Chief executive
  • Distribution
  • Marketing
  • Technology

If this resonates, get in touch.

We are bringing the first group together now. Tell us a little about you and we will be in contact about the early sessions.

No commitment - just an expression of interest.
